Have you ever imagined what it would be like if your breakfast pastries could talk, go to work, play music, and any other anthropomorphized things you can think of? Well, don’t imagine anymore: Muffin Buds, an animated show about two muffins, is coming soon! The show is the product of Los Angeles based animator Rachel Yonda and writer/comedian Eric Aldama. Eric thought up the idea one Sunday morning over breakfast, naturally. The two are trying to get some episodes made but, alas, they need your help!
The two have launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise five thousand dollars to get the project made. They’re a little over the halfway mark and have about ten days to go. When they have the funding, they’ll be able to make a pilot for the show, which they are then going to submit to festivals. The project looks really, really rad and silly and very much like something that would make you say “This belongs on Adult Swim.”
Take a look below at their pitch, which has some of the Muffins in action. And be sure to help out these cool locals if you can by donating to their Kickstarter campaign.
