Generic Man are always up to something cool. They have done big collaborations–including a few super stellar shoes for Comme Des Garçons–and are continually doing bigger and better things. For the holiday season, they decided to take their footwear across the pond to Selfridges London. The store is exclusively selling a collaboration the Man did with UK menswear maker Greg Chapman. It’s a nice collection. Hopefully they’ll make their way to town soon!
Chapman basically took his hand a Generic Man boot and shoe, both of which are colorful ways to rethink the boat shoe. The boot is two toned with a subdued canvas ankle and a pebbled black or brown leather base. The shoes are a bit more dynamic as they are blue and black pebbled leather boat shoes–but the blue version is accented with bright yellow lining and the black is complimented by a neon green. They are fantastic. In addition to these Chapman items, Selfridges are going to sell a few other shoes including new Chukka boots, Wingman shoes, a low top Acadamy, and a redone Florentine. They all fit in with Chapman’s designed shoes as they all have this element of being two toned and often of contrasting materials (particularly with the Chukka boots and Wingmans).
We have a feeling these are only going to be available in London. That being said, you can see all the holiday wears from Generic Man on their website. You can also get a more in depth look at the shoes here.
