Mary Delioussina is a doodler. She’s a Los Angeles based illustrator and artist who always finds herself drawing. She catalogues all of her work on her website which features tons and tons of little projects she occupies herself with. They represent this desire to always make–even if you have to draw on a cocktail napkin.
Her work is somewhat brutal and intentionally rough at points. There’s an element of collage as she combines what appears to be lots of techniques into one image. There are elements of photography and painting all residing within a drawn frame. Her work is obviously a way to escape and that very clearly can be seen in what she makes, all of which are logged on her online sketchbook. There’s a lovable dash of wit in her pieces which make them extra special.
Mary is always making new work and sharing them on her site. If anything catches your eye, you should drop her a line. As she mentions, she’d love to make you something extra special. Check out more of her work here.
