Last week, the fashion boutique Gather celebrated its third and newest home on Hollywood Boulevard with a grand opening party. The new Gather location is in a great spot in Los Feliz: it’s on the same beat as other stylish vendors like Confederacy, American Apparel, Maya and popular spots like Malo, Covell, Tiki Ti and the Vista Theater–it’s the perfect spot.
As a unique shopping destination, Gather offers one-of-a-kind products from small, sometimes obscure designers and artists. The new home for Gather is in a trendy spot, a placement that promises better connection between Gather’s rare retail goods and the larger shopping audience present in Los Feliz. The ability to visit the shop and personally experience these products is a real treat–especially if you’re in the market for chain harnesses, 7″ long tassel earrings, bone-and-feather accoutrement, form-fitted leather blazers, and other incredible, delectable curio-pieces.
The opening party was warm, generous and stylish, much like its owner: our talented, bonne vivante, LAIY contributor and friend Katie Kay. Wine and beer flowed, while friends and patrons conversed and shopped. Boom Bip and DJ Aaron Castle provided music and reasons to dance a bit, in between sips, ogling over jewels, and gazing at cute outfits. Designers and brand lines like Bealine, Girl on a Motorcycle, ChicagoFang, Dust, Ghost Dancer, Jocelyn Marsh, Shadowplay, Rune, Painted Coyote, Sheila B. sell wares at Gather.
Stop by the new Gather boutique, which is open now! It’s located at 4516 Hollywood Blvd., Los Angeles (ahem, Los Feliz), 90027. The store is open Tuesdays through Saturdays, 11:00 AM – 7:00PM. And, for more photos from the opening, check out Gather’s Facebook.
