Last week we Tweeted a question to you guys to gauge interest on something: would you be interested in attending a monthly storytelling event if we put it on? A lot of people responded, offering suggestions for venues and excitement about the potential opportunity. We seriously want to do it—we just need a few things from you guys to make sure we do it right.
The concept is to get a bunch of cool people together to tell stories about their experience of Los Angeles based on a specific theme. We’d be hand selecting a few speakers that we’ve featured on the site before in addition to including reader submissions and, potentially, in-the-moment volunteers. We think it’ll be a lot of fun for everyone. We’re also thinking, ideally, the event would be at a place that is public transportation friendly, serves alcohol, and is pretty central (Los Feliz/Hollywood is where we had in mind).
So, in order to do this, we want to hear from you! We’re trying to figure out the when and where and more as these details will dictate how we execute the night(s) in a way that is comfortable for all involved. If you could answer the questions below, that’d be fantastic. We’re hoping to figure out all of the logistics by the month’s end so we can get the storytelling going at some point in September. We’re super stoked for this! We just need your feedback so that we could make this as worthwhile for everyone as possible. Thanks in advance and we’ll keep you posted on any new developments.
