Have you seen the movie Her? It’s a undoubtedly a new LA classic film, one that shows off the city as this wondrous and somewhat utopian city. It’s well made and looks good and also sounds good too. A big part of it “sounding” good is new classicist and avant pop musician Owen Pallett‘s contributions. The Canadian composer is very talented and highly regarded and is actually coming to town next week, to play a show on September 13 at the El Rey. Are you a fan of his or curious to see what he’s all about? You’re in luck: we have a pair of tickets to the show to giveaway, courtesy of our friends over at Goldenvoice.
Pallett is rolling into town to support his new album In Conflict, which is pretty marvelous if you haven’t heard it already. What do you have to do to see him? Well, as always, here is the deal: Tweet at us, comment on this post, or email firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject “OWEN PALLETT” if you’d like to enter the contest. In your message, tell us why you want to attend the show. That is it. You have to do so little for a big payoff. As always, responses will have little bearing on the drawing but you can totally write a long note or little note if you want: up to you. Get your entries in by September 10th at noon!
