Food X Frame: Troop Beverly Hills / Homemade Samoas

Food X Frame: Troop Beverly Hills / Homemade Samoas

You love Los Angeles. You love movies. You love food. Every first Wednesday of the month, Food X Frame will discuss a movie that was shot or set in LA and provide a corresponding recipe. BYOB.

Grocery shopping in Los Angeles can be stressful. For one, parking can be a nightmare. If you’re at Trader Joe’s, it’s practically impossible, because that fucking traitor, Joe, has decided to make his parking lots the size of three car garages. Finding a spot turns into a dangerous game of car Tetris, where hipsters in hybrids and moms in minivans become kamikaze pilots.

Hedi Slimane at MOCA Pacific Design Center: CALIFORNIA SONG

On 11/11/11, fashion designer and photographer Hedi Slimane’s solo show opened at MOCA Pacific Design Center. Confusing many LA residents, the first night was open to the public–no RSVP, no real list necessary.
